Off-line thermal sensors

Knowledge of temperature is an essential parameter for the development and optimization of many different processes, including engine and turbine combustion to generate more efficient and cleaner burning equipment. Unfortunately, these processes typically occur in locations that are difficult or impossible to access during the actual event. As such, sensors are needed that can measure and record the temperature and heating duration during the event and can then be analyzed afterwards to determine the thermal impulse. However, these sensors must not interfere with the process being probed.

On-line thermal sensors

In many cases, on-line (real-time) temperature sensing is required in extreme and challenging situations. Examples include temperature of gas from traditional combustion and hypersonic engines, post-detonation environments, etc. Our two-color temperature sensors can be used in various configurations.
